Freeweights a deal breaker?

Post by phoeneous »

Hello all. Just picked up BP and I'm excited to get started, however, I do not have access to a lot of freeweights. I mainly do bodyweight excercises i.e. pushups, pullups, dips, and I have 80lbs in dumbbells. Are my chances of successful gains with BP drastically reduced because of my limited access to heavy weight? I'd love to put a bench in my house but I literally have no room for it. Thoughts?

Bodyweight exercises are still excellent alternatives. You may not gain the advantages that BP offers via heavy barbell squats/dealifts and benches, but MUCH muscle can be built with those.

You are limited only by your will and creativity.

You can do a lot with five gal buckets, pole, rope, resistance bands, and maybe the fat kid from next door to sit on your back during push-ups. :)
