BCAA cycling?

Post by tufluk »

Hi guys,

What is the advantage of the recommended 3 days on 3 days off BCAA cycle?
how would this be more efficient than taking them every day providing price isn't an factor?

thanks

As per The Blueprint, flooding your system with BCAA's tricks the brain into thinking that the muscle is hemmoraging glutamine/other critical amino. In an effort to fight this, the brain signals the body to up-regulate protein metabolism/skeletal muscle growth.

Mother nature isn't fooled for long though. That's why we take a brief pause, then re-introduce.

Hope that helps!

Does it matter how these fall into place relating to workout days/off days? Just straight 3 on, 3 off. I've always dont protocol 2, during workout. But this system intrigues me.

I believe you can extend the bcaa cycling an additional day in order to have protocol 2 fall within the "on" days for the workout as long as 2-3 days are taken off.
