Curious, on the off days from Famine through Feast can one do some free hand exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups, bent-over twists, etc.?

Would you advise this or against this?

Against it. You want to avoid any eccentric (negatives) and those movements incorporate a healthy amount...

What does everyone else do on the days they aren't in the gym?

I for one feel bored and unproductive. I mean besides from the whole house keeping, work thing.

during Famine I did slow cardio once, I also went out drinking and bowling another night.

I was DRAINED of energy after the 3rd day on famine, I had no motivation to train past that point.

Are you giving it 100% for the prescribed plan? If you are, don't feel bad about not being in the gym.

long distance low intensity cardio should do the trick

don't kill your CNS by breaking the rules

it will only hurt your results
