I go back to school on the 17th and i am going to start the first day of famine on the 15th. I am going to do a bulking routine as I feel like I have lost a lot over the years I used to be a solid twenty pounds heavier but due to studying in school and for the mcat i lost my focus. Wanting to make a serious run however and hopefully everything stays in check. I wont be running this log with any supps other than protein and creatine. I have started to take my heart rate upon waking and it is pretty high around 90. I have always had a fast heart rate no idea why. Well im looking forward to everyones input and a successful run!

Forgot to list stats and goals:
Height: 5'6"
Weight: Around 155
Bench: I would probably get 205 for a couple if it were today but I have done 225 for sets before so this number reflects on how consistent i am in the gym.
Squat: 255
Deadlift: 275

Goals
Weight: Be nice to get back up around 170-180 but with minimal fat gain I now am around 15% bodyfat :(
Bench-255
Squat-315
Dead-315

Thanks Rob i think its amazing what you do for people on here. Well I was thinking about starting off famine doing the v8 fast. How many days do you recommend fasting for during famine? And do i just drink v8 a few times a day?

Trying man but I'm almost there... exhausted. Still, would die for you guys..

Rather than the V8 fast, consider making your own drinks!

I DON'T recommend fasting during Famine. Something like the Warrior Diet where you don't or under-eat for 18 hours and then gorge after the workout for 4-5? Sure.

But NO fasting. Throw Famine workouts 1-3 on top of that and I'll be getting calls from the ER. Don't want that :)

Day 1 of famine is almost complete!
Did the first workout today:
Leg press supersetted with cable rows from 3 sets of each.
Followed this up with 3 sets of various bicep exercises.
Felt very weak but also havent lifted for a month haha.
So still keep water up and take a multi through famine? Not sure how much im supposed to beat my body up lol.

Yes, drink copious amounts of water. Also, heed this advice:

If you at all feel sick, off or just not right - DISCONTINUE. You can't get traction in Feast if you take Famine too deep..

Hope that helps!

Day 2 of famine right now. I think i need to up my calories. I can have around 1200 a day but yesterday and today have only had around 400. Feel sluggish and tired having some oatmeal with blueberries right now have had no protein yesterday or today except what is in a handful of almonds. Heartrate the same this morning but weight went down 2.5 pounds.

Yeah remember, don't take Famine too deep. If you ever feel sick, etc - STOP.

Otherwise, make the adjustments you're proposing.. :)
