Great log, great thinking/experimenting outside the box Matter!!!

So happy, you found some value in it/things you can carry forward into new BP cycles...

Experiencing some hip joint soreness of a pretty good magnitude towards the end of the day...most likely from the heavy leg presses...traps are also pretty sore right now...

Looking to complete a 24 hour fast tomorrow and get some cardio in before my first cruise workout Wednesday...

OK, first cruise workout, kinda followed the recommendations with the lifts, but added some other exercises I haven't done in a while just to switch it up...

Decline Bench Press: 215 x 5, 225 x 5, 225 x 5, 225 x 5, 225 x 5

Lat Pulldown: 200 x 5, 200 x 5, 200 x 5

Close Grip Seated Rows: 200 x 5, 220 x 5, 220 x 5

Attempted Close Grip Decline Bench but that was a complete no go because of my wrist...once I got bar down about halfway, it became impossible to go any lower...

Standing Tri Pressdown: 95 x 5, 100 x 5, 105 x 5, 105 x 3/95 x 2, 95 x 5

Standing Bicep Curls: 70 x 5, 70 x 5, 80 x 5

Standing EZ Curls: 75 x 5, 95 x 3/75 x 2, 75 x 2

-Biceps again limited by wrist/forearm issue...for some reason standing curls seem to be easiest on it where I don't feel it at all on the lighter reps, but then when I start going a little heavier it becomes quite uncomfortable...

Weighted Ab Crunch(Seated): 110 x 5, 125 x 5, 135 x 5, 145 x 8, 130 x 5

-really tried to go pretty quick through the whole routine to get heart rate up, almost like a modified circuit, but not quite that fast...only took about an hour and 10 mins for everything...

Looking to get some cardio in tomorrow morning and some sandbag work on friday...

THIS, is what I'm talking about when I say "thick from the side".

You'd like to know who's REALLY as strong (or stronger), than they look? Look at them from the side. If you see thickness/depth, you can be assured they're the real deal.

Nice work Matter!

Weighed in at 212 today...feeling good and more tight than normal...

Cruise workout #2

Pretty good workout today focusing on 5x5's...

Squats: 415 x5x5x5x5x4
Hamstring Curls: 175x5 160x5x5x5x5

Did these as a superset edt block style..a little upset I didn't complete 5th rep on last set of squats...hcurls I dropped to 160 after first set because I felt 175 was a little too heavy to be supersetting with wide squats as those really works hams as well...

Deadlifts: 315 x5x5x5x5x5
I absolutely was manhandlng this weight and was cranking out DLs...probably could have added at least 50lbs...felt really strong...crazy considering I was struggling to get this up once a few months ago...

Leg Extensions: 180 x 5x5x5
stopped after 3 sets as I could barely walk by this point...

Felt pretty strong especially in DLs..really focusing on speed in these workouts...got everything done in an hour today...

Thanks! I attribute much of this to the heavy statics/overload principals of the BP!

Ditto... :)

The fact his weight is 212/seems to be stabilizing plus manhandling deadlifts = re-comp... :)

The depth and overall level of the DOMS I am feeling right now is pretty high...for the second straight day walking was tough, going up or down stairs was very painful and the worst of all was sitting down or getting up...

I am really shocked at just how bad it is...quads feel lke someone took an air hose and stuck it in and turned it on and forgot to shut it off...feel very swollen and extremely tender...I know it was a fairly heavy weight, but it wasn't anywhere near 90% of my 1RM...maybe 75-80% or so, as I did 24 out of 25 full ass to the ground reps at that weight...

Legs literally feeling like concrete pillars when I am standing...extremely dense and muscular, especially the sides of my quads and hamstrings which are bulging out...

Did what ended up being a 20 hour fast today due to having to help move some heavy furniture around at work today...started getting a little light headed after the 3rd house and needed some fuel...

Got 30 mins of cardio in tonight...looking forward to upper body cruise workout #2 tomorrow afternoon...hoping legs start feeling better by then but I think they will likely still be sore...

Likely the training template shift, should subside in a week... :)
