even though im 99% sure your squatting with bumper plates anyway.

when your pressing that much weight should probably have some safety rails happening, just in case.
yeah they're bumper plates, and i prefer squatting out of the cage.. but my gym would flip out if i dropped them

What a day today was. Incredibly long time frame, yet i feel really good about how things went. After i maxed on squats (which from warmup-final failure [on 500lbs] took nearly an hour) i went for a max on deadlift as well. As such my lower back is toasted! But I definitely can tell its not a bad thing

As per Rob's recommendation I had my knees wrapped, but not tightly. I had to make them tight enough to stay on, but it wasn't stretched around for each loop. Definitely could squeeze alot more out of these wraps.

Workout/maxes

Squats - 135x6, 225x4, 315x2, 365x1, 405x1, 425x1
455x1 - PR
475x1 - PR

Deads - 315x1, 405x1, 455x1
485x1 - PR

Pretty exciting to see a PR on deads since i've pulled once in the past 10 weeks. It was ugly. and involved a bit of hitching. but I got it up.

Video(s) for the day:

475x1 Wowzer. It was pretty clean too.. I can see another 10 lbs with same conditions and even more if I wrap tightly.

Great Job!!!!

Squat looked great. Like you said, it looks like you could have handled a little more weight.

Way to go on the deadlift too. You are so close to 500 on both lifts. You'll be there in no time.

Just wanted to bump this thread with this quote! October is in 8 days!

Hey Big.jaz, just wanted to let you know I enjoyed reading through your thread tremendously!! I loved your videos, and, along with probably many members here, have been rooting for you to hit 500! But I noticed it kind of just ended abruptly. Were you at the end of your routine? I've noticed you posting in other threads, but haven't seen an update on how you've been doing.

So, can we get an update on where you are right now?

Go after that Big Jaz and get it!

Everyone should check out his leg pic on PinkMagic.com. Some damn impressive muscle on those legs. Great work man, it's all paying off. I appreciate you putting into it..... what you're putting into it.

These gains are stunning, and I am grateful I was able to be a (small) part of it.

Still here behind you buddy. I think about the Big Jaz when I'm in my squat cage, wondering how your quest is going. I too wanted to hit the big 500 by October. Doesn't look like I'm going to get it so now you must....and you will. Can't wait to see or hear how it goes.

Inspiring doesn't begin to describe this.

I wish I could shove this down every Pink Magic buyer's throat.
