I slept great the past 2 nights but mid afternoon I just got tired for some reason. Today was supposed to be shooting for new max's. I maybe should have waited another day and would like to try again friday, but my bench just wasnt there today.

Bench was 100x15, 100x10, 135x5, 185x1, missed 210 twice
Squat was 95x5, 135x5, 225x1, 275x1 which is my new max

Previous max's were 205 and 270

I tried 285 on squat because 275 was a little easy, but my leg/groin was bothering me and I just stopped at the bottom. I feel like I should go back and try again friday, what are your thoughts on this? Need to give my leg some rest.

Sure, you can give it another go on Friday.

I know what's going on with the bench... when you're dieting you just lose the upper body strength first. However, it may well be you can still get it.

Sometimes it boils down to timing..

GREAT work on the squat. New PR's while dieting are generally unheard of, yet you pulled it off... on a keto diet no less!

i think ill just stick with 205 and 275 for my max's and move on. my leg strength has consistently gone up since ive started doing squats, but my bench has always been a problem.

Have you ever tried taking ZMA? They are tricky to use because you need to time them around when you anticipate falling asleep. They have vitamin B6 I believe which will get your mind racing if you dont get into bed soon enough. It took me a couple tries to get it right but I have slept like a baby every time.

Also, Valerian root is another good natural sleed aid. You can get a tinticure mixture online and mix it with water. Same with Melatonin, which can be found in a regular grocery store that sells herbs and vitamins.

Hope that helps buddy.

i used to use melatonin and my doctor has proscribed me ambien because ive had sleeping problems for such a long time. im going to get off it once im home for the summer.
now i have no problem falling asleep most nights, but i still have some issues where ill wake up after only 6-7 hours of sleep and not be able to fall back asleep. ive never tried ZMA though.

haha, i have a passion for arguing, especially in defense of something that means something to me. everyone wants to make up cult conspiracy theories and contradict themselves rather than accept things for what they are. i cant even imagine how i would go about arguing against something with 100% positive feedback.

Couple of other sleep suggestions- Sweet Dreams hot tea, and/or Gamma GH (inexpensive and IMO best natural GH booster) that we stock. Adaptogen N too, of course, but that's just a nice side effect of it.

I've been getting by on 5-7 hours for years, the above said, and 7 may be all you need. Dr. Ken of Hardgainer fame sleeps only 4 hours a night! The experts can't figure it out, but he's none the worse for wear and one of the strongest pound for pound natural lifters ever.

the sleeping issues now are just that i wake up too early in the morning. i almost never wake up in the middle of the night now, but somehow i just cant wake up feeling refreshed.
