Warm up for static holds?

Post by visualisation »

Just to make sure, I also need to warm up for my static holds in 3.0, right?

Yes, it is a good idea to do so. I normally do some lighter full range reps to warm up, then start doing some short static holds working my way up to the full weight static hold...

Not sure if this is the correct method or not, but it has worked pretty good for me...

For sure. When you're pushing/pulling against weights like this, you ABSOLUTELY need to warm up.

I do so via the static hold itself. Meaning after some lighter DB warmups work for the upper body, etc. I hit the bar in my given Static Hold position and start adding the iron... :)
