Wrist pain

Post by the_buffer »

So My wrist is in a lot of pain after yesterday's workout. I have deduced that it was probably the close-grip static holds that caused the problem.

During the day the pain intensified and I noticed that I have a small protrusion on my right wrist that is extremely sensitive. My wife said it looks somewhat like carpal tunnel syndrom (only on the wrong side).

Any thought on what it could be or what might help it to not hurt so much?

You hit the nail on the head... it's the static hold. I found a nice solution for you.

Credit: Pete Sisco of SCT fame.

He and I have been chatting :)

"One I’ve found is Alan Trombetta’s handgrips. They have a thick, effective cushion and I’ve heard from people who have added 40 or more pounds to their bench press the day the pads arrived and then improved from there. That’s impressive".

Google that, you'll find them. Tried to link but it was broken.

Good stuff.

thanks! A pharmacist gave me some anti-inflammatory cream, so hopefully that speeds the recovery.

Edit: I just put in an order for them... I'll let you know how they work when I start using them!
