Famine only 1lb

Post by yositoco »

After 3 days of starving ive only lost 1 pound. Is this normal? My heart rate in the morning is always different. It can fluctuate all over the place.

Story of my life even when i'm following a diet my body does whatever it wants to.

Give it some time.

Feeling lethargic at all? Cursing my name frequently?? These are also signs you're on the right track :)

I wanted to go to bed last night at 6. You could say i'm felling a little lethargic.

Every time i'm starving i think (cursing) about you.

And there we go....

Now do take care going into workout #3. For example, don't be surprised if you're reduced to bodyweight squats and the like.

MOST IMPORTANT: If you ever feel sick, "off" or just not right - DISCONTINUE.

This isn't just liability talk. You can't make gains (or to be more precise, get traction) during Feast if you take Famine too deep.

The pattern I'm seeing is this: Famine works so damn well in most that I'm increasingly giving a waiver to people on workout #3 due to the state they're in on days 3/4. You're not doing anything wrong per se, at least from what I'm seeing.

Therefore, when you get to day 4 report back with how you're feeling, how much weight you've dropped, how "drawn" you feel, how many MORE times you curse my name vs the prior day etc.

Provided that's the case, I'd recommend you skip workout #3 and simply continue with the Famine diet to run out that phase.

I'd suggest doing workout #2 today. Even if it's a repeat, it'll tell me all I need to know given the results....

Also, sorry if I missed this but how much weight have you lost/what is your Resting Heart Rate relative to baseline?

I've lost 1 pound when i weighted myself this morning (day 4).

I'm not sure if my heartrate thingy is off but my normal hr fluctuates between 61 to 71 and its been like that during famine to.

Not sure what i'm doing wrong.

I will do workout 2 again today. Yesterday i had to grab a lighter weight every time i did the shoulder presses cause i couldn't get to 8reps.

Ok, don't assume you're doing something wrong per se. Let's just see how workout #2 goes!!

We'll take it from there... :)

I wish i had good news.

After 4 days of dieting and starving I've only lost 1 pound. Measured my heartrate this morning and it was at 163.

Did workout 2 again yesterday. Will do workout 3 today but i have a feeling i'm not going to loose any more pounds and my heartrate isnt going anywhere.

So what do i do after today?

Sometimes it takes a different trigger to 'get there'.
Have you tried sweating until you don't sweat anymore and then going to bed that night hungry and not fully re-hydrated? hth

Day in and day out it would definitely be not "to healthy"

One time during famine will take you a long ways toward reaching the goals of temporary depletions of the 'pathways' ... the price we have to pay for the geometric gains of feast...

An 'easier' alternative would be simply to cut food intake even more and extend famine in time by a couple days... hth

Sorry man it's 9:30 and I'm beat... shoveling all day.

FAMINE RULE: When in doubt, DON'T train.

Otherwise, great work this far!!
