Take home message of this all it seems that using multivitaminerals as a failsafe to complement your regular eating. I think I'm starting to see the light brother, just needed to talk it through :) I'm not sure if anyone's had experience with MASS's Multi Life but that seems like a good value given...

I believe Rob recommends d-limonene in addition to dmso. The former further assists in permeability and as a bonus has a pleasant orange smell to counter that of dmso.

Thanks for the feedback. That's an interesting study, especially considering it was a pretty low-dose multi. I guess I've been (perhaps wrongfully) under the impression that there are a lot of synergistic compounds and "co-factors" in food that allow for proper uptake and utilization vs. i...

Are multi vitamins actually effective?

Hey all, sorry to bombard the forums lately but this has been on my mind for a while and it's nice to have an outlet filled with smart folks. More so than any other supplement I see multis recommended as "an insurance policy" or "to round out nutritional gaps". The logic is sound...

Excellent, much appreciated breakdown as always. I'll be very curious to see how my body fares as I've never ever gone a day without reasonably high protein since I started lifting.

Thanks, man. Getting something of a template helps. I wasn't sure if it was a purely fruit/veg affair or if some fats and grains could join the mix.

Do you time your meals around your workout in any particular manner or just get the food in throughout the day the best you can?

Great reply, wtmarcus, appreciate you taking the time mate. You brought forward some important insights that I think I needed to hear. I'm one of those people that over analyze every aspect of my training and diet and get easily confused by conflicting theories. I guess just not seeing dramatic phys...

Help with Famine

So I'm gearing up for my first BP run this month and am concerned about dialing in an appropriate Famine diet. May I ask what's worked best for people regarding macros? I understand that protein is to be kept low but what sort of threshold is ideal? Are starchy carbs and fat limited in any particula...

Thanks for the replies, everyone. That sports science article was excellent but for better or for worse, raised more questions and uncertainties regarding nutrient timing. It would seem that total macro intake throughout the course of the day is more important that specific bolus doses but depending...

peri-workout carbs

Hey BPA, quick little inquiry I could use some advice on: I have a large tub of Karbolyn that I'd like to maximize but upon further examination I'm not certain whether I'd see the greatest benefit in hypertrophy from taking a serving intra workout, soon after or both. I'm also taking synthagen 5 pre...

Interesting. That makes a lot more sense. It isn't a casein supplement after all.

Good advice guys, I just ordered another 2-pack so I'm pretty committed to keeping a steady supply of MPS on hand. Thanks for taking the time to help.
Too bad there's no such thing as a MPS transdermal patch. Just slap it on and enjoy a steady trickle of recovery agent goodness all day :)

It's a beautiful thing, Rob. Definitely makes the price point seem so much more palatable when you consider what it can replace.

A little off topic but do you run MPS in cruise also or is it best just to keep it for Feast? (never for famine I presume).
