Thanks for the reply Rob! And also sorry for the slow response time. Haven't been checking the forum lately. I think a lot of my problems with weight gain was because: 1) I mixed fat and carbs too much. I find that I do better when eating either high fat- low carb or moderate fat and high carb. Mixe...

Help with Feast, calories per bodyweight

I'm on my first run of the BP and currently at day 15 of Feast. Initially my fat% was going down but now, day by day it's going up. I understood from the 2.0 that the calories should be over the maintenance during the feast. After counting my calories with the template given in 2.0, I realized that ...

Thanks for all the advice! I started with a different kind of program now and I have plenty of rest days inbetween. I probably won't do the 5x5x5 on cruise either because I'm strongly considering to start the Convict Conditioning thing. I can't do any barbellwork, so bodyweight training seems like a...

Pavel's 5x5x5 during feast?

I understand that during 2.0 one should focus on intensity and that usually there should be 2-3 rest days in between training days. However, I was wondering if Pavel's 5x5x5 type of program would work during the Feast phase? The 5x5x5 program is basically this: -select 5 exercises -do 5 reps of each...

True, I also hate when I can't eat meat and fats :). I think that having done regular intermittent fasting in the past helps a lot.

I recovered from the fatigue after my first big meal in the first day of feast. The miracle of eating enough :)

Thanks for the support :)

I'm doing better than I thought, although I'm slightly sore from the workouts and also tired and hungry all the time. Still, I expected something worse :). I hope that this doesn't mean that I've done something wrong.

Okay, I read as much from the 3.0

I initially planned that I'll skip the third workout but now, on the 4th day, I feel pretty good and I'm thinking about training tomorrow.

I'll do a one hour walk to the hill and see how I feel :)

Thanks!

I actually have a blood pressure monitor but didn't think of using it for this. I have to try it.

I haven't seen any kind of rise in the heart rate, but weight has definitely gone down.

I hope that I get the benefits of famine. I would be pretty mad if I had suffered for nothing :D

I believe you'd take the average of your 3 readings you do each morning upon waking. It's expected to rise over the course of famine but there may be some compounding factors at play depending on what you were doing pre-famine, current sleep quality etc. Yes, but the readings vary second by second....

How to properly measure resting heart rate

I'm wondering how I'm supposed to measure my resting heart rate properly. Should I use the lowest value, since it varies second by second or should I use some kind of an average value? Sorry if this is already a thread somewhere, although I couldn't find one. I wondered this because my lowest heart ...

Thanks for the quick reply!

Funny thing: I just bought a foam roller a few days ago :)

Still, anything I could do to balance the weak side, or should I just roll the tight side and continue with the unilateral basic moves?

Correcting imbalances in hips, lower back and legs

I have a big problem with muscular imbalances that stop me from being able to do deadlifts and squats with a barbell. When I do them, my right glute, right hamstring and the right side of my lower back get significantly more pumped than the left side. Also, my left femur adductors are very tight and...

A. Glad to have you aboard and I appreciate you posting here! With respect to the flu, are you sure you aren't in Famine yet? Smile Well, I think I kind of was. I started with a new workout program last week and after two days I realised that there was way too much volume. In retrospect, I also did...
