I returned to the gym this morning excited to begin the GLP and up the intensity on my lifts. I felt pretty strong for the most part and hit all my lifts for the bench. Granted this was the first day and the weight will increase as I move through this phase but I did feel the last set was a little h...

I went back to the gym today for my 1RM on bench and squats and had a pretty good workout. 1 new PB on bench and maintained my max from the last run for squats. Bench 1RM was 265. I had a spotter at 255 and he put his hands on the bar so on the next lift I asked him to not touch the bar and powered ...

Looking back at my first run I split the my days between bench and squats. A bench day would look something like: GLP Bench EDT block #1 Decline BD Bench SS with Seated Cable Rows EDT Block #2 Tricep Extension or Skull Crushers SS with Incline DB Curls. If I had anything left I would do Static Holds...

It's crazy. I injured my right shoulder 3 years ago kayaking in some heavy surf and that has been giving me some problems with my bench but it does not seem to effect my strength, it's just painful. Now I am having problems with the other shoulder. I stopped by South Carolina Barbell/Spud Inc monday...

Rob, I've tried grabbing the bar just about everywhere I can and continue to experience pain. As long as I go slowly and easy into the hold I can minimize the initial pain. Most comes when I let go of the bar. I have started to stretch my shoulders outside the gym to try to increase ROM. I failed to...

I just tried a few pair on to check fitting and get the proper size. I like the KSO treks and trek sport as well. Crazy thing was each pair seemed to fit different and I thought they fit my toes alittle tight. I might still get a pair but have not decided which ones yet. It might take a few more fit...

Completed the first 72 hours of feast and hit the gym this morning for the first of the five workouts leading to my new 1RM. I am hoping to see some gains from my last run which is one reason I decided to do this section instead of jumping straight to a loading patter. Today's workout was good and w...

I've been looking at these over the past week and have noticed some showing up in the gym. I might have to pull the trigger one of these days. I want a couple pair. One specifically for the beach. I understand it is like being barefoot but how much of a sole is there. I want something that will prot...

Day 5 of Famine and all I can say is WOW! or OUCH!! I'm not sure why but this Famine was much more difficult for me from an appetite and strength perspective than the other 2 runs. Part of it could have been a 2 week break with the final week enjoying all-you-can-eat crab leg buffets at the beach bu...

I would suggest you still push yourself and when you reach the heavier weights, ask for a spotter. I have lifted solo for the last year and a half and noticed that I really limited my potential and was just going through the motions. When I started the Blueprint I had no choice but to ask for a spot...
